Force News, are published fortnightly by the

Australian Department of Defence

The newspapers are published fortnightly and

are available online and in print. Printed

copies are distributed Australia-wide to every

full-time serving member of the Australian

Defence Force, and on a pro-rata basis of 1

per 4 members of the Reserve forces and

Cadet units.

Copies are also mailed out to subscribers and

Australian and foreign Defence attaches

based in Australia and overseas.

The newspapers are the official medium of

the Department of Defence to inform

personnel of:

• Policy changes in plain English

• General news relevant to the

Australian Defence Force

• International military news and

features

Army News, Navy News and Air Force News

are the only official newspapers produced by

the Department of Defence and are read by

people who make decisions on Defence policy

and purchasing.
